Egyptology Lecture: Update on Conservation - BNSS

Richard and Helena Jaeschke are accredited specialists in the conservation of archaeological sites and objects and work on material from excavations in the field and museums. One of their many projects is a fort at Hierakonopolis which is 30’ high and 16’ thick at the base. Richard can turn a box of broken pottery or a broken mummy case. Richard is considered to be the best in the field of preventative and interventive conservation treatments. Not only in Egyptology, Richard also works with natural history and ethnographic items.
