Speaker: Allan Chapman

Allan is a well-known speaker and broadcaster on the subject of the history of astronomy, and a regular contributor to BNSS. “Hubble” is an everyday word, thanks to the telescope named after him,and to his name being used as the measure of the expansion rate of the universe: these illustrate his importance to astronomy. He was an eccentric whose contribution to our understanding of the universe was immense.
