Speaker: Dr Paul Clarkson
Paul is a postgraduate zooarchaeology researcher in the department of Anthropology and Archaeology at Bournemouth University. He specialises in using microfauna to interpret archaeological sites. Small animal behaviour tells us how people lived and changed their environment. He will take us on a whistle stop tour of the last 10,000 years of history from ancient towns in the Near East to the medieval Dorset countryside, via a Bronze Age merchant ship in the Mediterranean.
