We often think that the sky is separate from us and does not affect the way we live our lives and how we have lived our lives, but this may not be the whole story.

In this talk Graham will look at some of the astronomical phenomena that have played a part in shaping our history, from the arts, exploration, tragedies and to warfare.

There are many examples to choose from but Graham will review just a few and will leave you to wonder whether your life would have been very different without an eclipse or two.
