Speaker: Dr Simon Cripps
Simon has over 30 years of experience in marine conservation having worked in a range of positions from field scientist to CEO. He is a career oceanographer with a Masters in Oceanography from Southampton and PhD in Aquaculture Engineering from Heriot Watt. Simon is the Executive Director of Marine Conservation for the Wildlife Conservation Society, a 4,000 staff NGO based in New York and with programs in over 60 countries around the world. Simon is responsible for WCS’s Global Marine Program conducting science-based conservation focusing on marine protected areas, coral reefs, coastal fisheries, sharks & rays and whales & dolphins.
