Speaker: Julie Hatcher

Julie Hatcher will give a local perspective on swifts during Swift Awareness week. Julie is a member of Swanage and Purbeck Swifts, a local group working to halt the decline in swifts in the area. She is also a marine biologist and scuba diver, and has co-authored books on beachcombing, rockpooling and seahorses. She has been manager of the Wild Seas Centre since 2004 for the Dorset Wildlife Trust at Kimmeridge. As well as managing the day to day running of the centre, she manages a team of volunteers and produces interpretations on the marine environment for the Dorset Wildlife Trust.
