Speaker: Jonathan McGowan
This talk from BNSS Zoology Chair Jonathan McGowan will explore the wildlife of the BCP conurbation. There are many species, some unknown to all but a few, including birds, mammal, reptiles and some invertebrates. He will look at resident species and passing visitors, as well as urban habitats – parks, open areas, riversides, and wildlife reserves. Also included are plant species like lady’s tresses orchids and others.
Jonathan McGowan is BNSS zoology chair and taxidermist. He is a Dorset-based expert naturalist with an interest in Big Cats and other elusive species.
