Speaker: Dr Anna Hickman

Dr. Hickman is a Lecturer in Oceanography at the University of Southampton and researches
ocean phytoplankton. She will talk to us about her research on the role of phytoplankton in our
climate and how physical factors affect the distribution of these organisms which form the base of
the marine food web and play a crucial role in the global carbon cycle.
