Talk: Christchurch & the Lower Avon Valley: it’s all about variety - BNSS

Event date: 28th February 2023 at: 7.30pm (zoom only)

Speaker: Dr Chris Chapleo

Christchurch Harbour is a relatively small area of 9 square km, surrounded by suburbia and heavily used by many people. Despite this it has a great variety of wildlife – some resident and some passing through – and part of the reason is the natural corridor of the Avon Valley. In This talk, Dr Chris Chapleo, Chairman of CHOG, explores the different habitats in this compact area through the year, and the birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects that call it “home”.
