Lecture ‘A Cup of Tea’ - BNSS

Event date: 7th January 2020 at: 7.30pm

Speaker: Gordon Le Pard

Gordon Le Pard was formerly an archaeologist working for Dorset County Council, specialising in maritime archaeology. He has written extensively on Dorset’s history and archaeology, and led numerous walks round archaeological sites and historic churches. Gordon will tell us how tea has led to the rise and fall of Empires, fair trade and food safety laws. Marriages and fortunes have been made, but is it milk or tea first?
