Lecture: The Great Heath Nature Parks - Corfe Barrows, Holes Bay and Lytchett Bay - BNSS

Event date: 24th October 2017 at: 7.30pm

Speaker:    Nicky Hoar

The Great Heath project has created two Nature Parks, with a third (Lytchett Bay) in the pipeline for 2017.  The term Nature Park recognises the value of an area to both people and wildlife.  Corfe Barrows is a varied landscape of woods, meadows and heaths, Holes Bay is a high-profile and busy area of Poole Harbour of great importance to wintering wildfowl while Lytchett Bay is a much quieter but no less important bay of Poole Harbour, with varied uses by local people and visitors.  Nicky is a long-time serving DWT officer and has held a number of important posts supporting wildlife conservation and community engagement across the county.
