Speaker: Lee Thresher

Lee Thresher will describe the work involved to create a working guide dog partnership, in this the 90th anniversary of the Guide Dogs association, from breeding, puppy school, puppy “university”, to identifying the best match with a future owner, in temperament and life style, – then the introduction, and intensive residential training for the potential partners.   Lee will be joined by a volunteer Puppy Raiser who is responsible for helping with early learning development of a puppy, and a guide dog owner who will describe their journey with sight loss and the difference a guide dog has made to their life.
