Speaker: Dr Adrian King
Adrian opted to study Geology at A-Level purely to fill a gap in his timetable, but hasn’t looked back since and now works as a hydrogeologist specialising in Contaminated Land.
Adrian has always had a keen interest in the night sky, but his interest was re-ignited by a telescope given as a 40th birthday present and he hasn’t stopped looking at the moon since as straining to see faint indistinct smudges of light really isn’t his sort of thing. The talk will touch on all aspects of the moon but aims to present them from a geologists perspective and where possible draw comparisons to analogous structures and processes on the Earth.
