This presentation will delve into the environmental impact of IT, from two perspectives, the acquisition, processing and transportation of the finished goods to the users, the energy and resources used in delivering IT services to users, and finally the benefits of IT to society. It will also include a look into the energy use during the recent pandemic lockdowns, including COP26.
